Iam one person who believes in Guru. I don’t differentiate between Gurus. Whether it is Ramana maharishi, Sadguru Jnanandar, living God, KalyAni mami, brother of Swami Haridas Giri or Sringeri Jagadhguru or Kanchi Jagadhguru etc.,
My daily visit to Sringeri mutt at Madaiveli had me blessed to visit Sringeri to have the dharshan of Sri.Bharati theertha swamiji. I have a written a separate blog on this.
Kanchi paramAcharya is in our nerve system. My mother was offered a small piece of banana, when she was a kid, at Semmangudi, Tanjore Dist, by mahAperiavA, during His visit to Semmangudi. This might have sown the seed for our Guru bhakthi and we are fortunate, in one way or other, to have associated with Maha periava (MP) and other seers of kanchi. I need to mention here that my brother Sri.K.Manikandan is also so devoted to Maha periava and he named his house in Bangalore- “MahA periavA Gruham”. My another brother’s Father In Law Sri. Sivarama Krishna Sastrigal, who was closely associated to MP and he was even staying in PeriavA’s house (matam) at Tiruvanaikkoil, abode of Akilandeswari “sameda” jambugeshwarar.
Coming back to present days, Sri. Jayendra sarawathi, present seer of Kanchi and Sri. Shankara Vijayendra saraswathi, known as chinna periava (SSVS) have been camping behind Kamakshi temple, near RA Puram, Chennai. They are here for performing vasantha navarathri and extending Their stay for some more days. In our opinion, They will be staying till 14th April 2015. We are so fortunate that the living Gods come to bless us to our place instead of other way.
As I was yearning for an opportunity, I was so fortunate and I along with my wife and kids perform regular darshans/chanting/bhakthi geet etc., We are so lucky and blessed to have a situation like this and even today, we plan to go for SSVS’s evening pooja.
My daughter is studying 12th Standard in Sivasamy kalalaya in Accountancy group and she aspires to become a professional. Obviously I thought of taking her to CPT, enroute to Chartered Accountancy. As I keep an eye on her to become a graduate first and then to CA, CPT was a no-nonsense area and after all, it gives more insight into Accountancy .
Next come to Coaching class for CPT. As Iam in Madaiveli, Chennai, I have more than half a dozen coaching classes each of which is offering CPT classes with different fees structure and different class timings, venues etc., besides Institute is conducting coaching classes. So, as usual, I consulted many friends and articled clerks of CA to select a better coaching class but my confusion reigned.
As my daughter was restless and my wife was worried about the 6AM – 1PM timing, I had almost decided not to send her to tuitions as her CBSE background + Study materials are just enough to cope up with the course.
As my daughter leans music from Smt.Padma Narayanaswamy, wife of the great musicians (late) Sri.K.V.Narayanaswamy, she had gone to the Pooja and enjoyed the darshan. She also sang some kritis (songs) in front of SJS Swamji in the evenings. It was our good fortune that Swamji made some corrections in her song. It was also my fortune to have a wife devoted to Swamiji so she took our daughter for darshan regularly.
Day before yesterday was the Rama navami concluding day and myself along with my daughter went to witness the 8 PM pooja. Swamiji performed Rama pattAbhishekam in the afternoon session, it was so vibrant and as the situation warranted, I asked my daughter to sing a song on Rama – Pattabhishekam. The song started with “pavanaja”. It was in Raga Kurinji and one of the beautiful compositions’ of Saint Thyagaraja. By the time, the Pooja completed and we were expecting Him to come out to give darshan. So, I asked my daughter to sing, “Sadguru swamiki” in raag Ritigowla.
When she was about to finish, Swamiji came out and started talking and giving prasadams to many bhakthas. Swetharanyam Sisters, musicians, were also present and they were also blessed by Swamiji. His amazing remembrance power enabled to interact with some of the bhakthas in personal level.
My daughter was also blessed and offered Kumkum prasadams. She was so happy and we returned.
The next day the miracle had happened. I was in my office and again started to think about her CPT coaching classes. As I interacted with my daughter and few of my friends, I spotted Sankara Coaching Centre. I called the centre and had a long discussion and finally I found out the following:
• Sankara Coaching Centre is offering classes in Mylapore
• Timing is very convenient 9 AM to 3.30 PM. Ironically, 9AM classes were conducted in T.Nagar and recently, they decided to have it in Mylapore
• Daughter had already got scholarship in this Coaching centre and so, fees has been reduced. (Though I knew this, I did not pay much attention to this earlier)
• The last date of the fees was today. From tomorrow, the fees will be increased.
• Today being Ekadashi day, another auspicious day in line with my thinking.
• As my daughter wanted to join some coaching centre contrary to my thinking, she got this Coaching classes which made both of us happy.
Sadhguru’s katAksham on my daughter made wonders. How ?
• See the Coaching class name – “Sankara”
• See the timing- 9AM to 3.30 PM. She can practice her music in the morning and have a good food and go to class. Evening her music practice with the teacher is at 5.30 PM. She need not be absent for that.
• Scholarship was used judiciously
• Fees not only reduced because of scholarship but also “not increased” as before 1st April, we were able to pay the fees.
By offering 2 songs on Sadhguru, my daughter’s confusion got cleared and I had a sigh of relief and also saw my wife smile.
This strengthened my belief on Sadhguru. I was awestruck to see His blessings and how all my confusions in my daughter’s future got cleared less than 24 hours after my daughter had the prasadams from Him.
